High School Morning Announcements

The Mahnomen Robotics Team is back from the Robotics Nationals in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Out of the 90 competing schools involves from all over the world, they came home with 48th place. They are ending their season placing 8th in MN, 479th in the US, and 560th in the world. Congratulations guys, you set a very high standard for future robotics students to beat. 
Congratulations to Logan Kettner for being chosen as the new Region 1 FFA President. In the FFA world this is a very big deal, region presidents are consider an extension of the state officer team and are technically State Officers- the new Blue jacket he gets will even say so itself!!!!
The wrestling Banquet will be Thursday April 19th in Mahnomen at 7:00 PM.
Waubun Community Ed is sponsoring a 3 on 3 mixed basketball tournament for all ages on Wednesday, April 18th from 6-8pm. See Mr. Clark for more details.

Baseball practice is Wednesday and Friday this week.

Boys' Golf will start on Monday, April 16.  Practice will be in Mahnomen.  Bring a mid-iron, wedge, and putter. 

Students grades 9-11 interested in being part of Student Council for the 2018-2019 school year may pick up an application form from Mr. Hoffner.  Forms are due April 18, elections for next years Student Council will be held April 19.  Officer elections will be held April 26, 2018 6th hour in Mr. Hoffner's room.  If you would like to be an officer you may pick up an officer application form.
Students interested in going to Prom, you may sign up in Mr. Hoffner's room.  Programs will be made April 26, 2018 so sign up prior to that date.  Cost for prom is $25 per person, this includes your ticket, glass, appetizers, and pizza served while prizes are handed out during the post prom activities.

Are you looking for Summer Employment?  Rural MN CEP is taking applications for their Summer Youth Program. See Sheila.

The Mahnomen Pioneer is seeking an intern for the summer.  The position would include writing and photography.  It would be about 20 hours a week.  See Sheila if you are interested.  

The Indian Education Program has ACT study and test prep books available. If you are taking the ACT and would like a copy of the Official ACT Prep Guide from the maker’s of the ACT, please stop by the tutor room or see Aimee. 

 Seniors - there are several scholarships available.  See Sheila for them.  


There is a Health Occupations and Professions Exploration Camp this summer for any student wishing to explore variety of health occupations.  See Sheila for more information.

Homework club -  Tuesday with Mr. Corning in room #227, Wednesday with Ms. Sisson in room #213, and Thursday with Ms. Kokett in room #234.
