Mahnomen School District

Mahnomen Public School District is seeking applications for the following positions for the 2024-25 school year. Positions are open until filled.

Elementary Teacher: (Full-time) Applicants must have or be eligible for MN  teaching license for K-6 Elementary Teacher.

English Language Arts Teacher: (Full-time) Applicants must have or be eligible for MN teaching license in 7-12 Language Arts or able to receive a variance license.

Math Teacher: (Full-time) Applicants must have or be eligible for MN teaching license in 7-12 Math or able to receive a variance license.

Music Teacher: (Full-time)  Applicants must have or be eligible for MN teaching license qualified to teach K-12 Classroom Music. Preferred license in multiple areas including classroom, vocal and instrumental music.

Physical Education Teacher: (Full-time) Applicants must have or be eligible for MN K-12 teaching license for Phy-ED. Preference for teachers licensed in multiple areas such as: Swimming Pool Operator Certification, Water Safety Instruction, Health Education and First Aid.

Special Education Teacher: (Full-time) Applicants must have or be eligible for MN teaching license in Special Education (multiple areas including EBD and SLD preferred) or able to receive a variance license. 

Behavior Intervention Specialist: (Full-time) Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the behavioral sciences such as: psychologist, counselor, or behavioral therapist or in Education with behavioral management training.

Certified Pool Maintenance Operator: (Part or Full-time depending on qualifications) Applicants must have or be eligible for MN Pool Operator Certification. Preference additional qualifications in: Water Safety Instruction, LifeGuard and First Aid.

Lifeguard/Pool Assistant: (Part or Full-time depending on qualifications) Applicants need to be able to be certified in Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor.

Special Education Paraprofessional: (Full-time during school year) Applicants need to be able to meet Minnesota Paraprofessional requirements by having either (1) an associate or higher degree or (2) by having successfully completed a minimum of 60 hours (credits) of instruction from an institute of higher learning or (3) passing the Para-Pro Test, which may be taken at the Mahnomen School.
