Another Section 8A Boys Basketball Game day for the Thunderbirds! Mahnomen-Waubun Thunderbirds vs. Fertile-Beltrami Falcons in the Quarterfinal matchup at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in TRF at 5:15.
Student fan bus is scheduled to leave Waubun at 3:15 with a stop in Mahnomen.

Congratulations to our Two Thunderbird wrestlers, senior Will Olson and sophomore Dominick Neisen, participated in the Minnesota State High School League wrestling tournament Friday March 4th and Saturday, March 5th at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Minnesota!
Dominick lost his first match by fall against the defending state champ Nolan Abrose from Jackson County Central. In his second match he lost 6-2 to Carson Petry of Waterville-Elysian-Morristown-Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton.
Will Olson lost his first round match to Isaac Busse of Heron Lake-Wyndom 12-2. In his second match he won by fall over Jaxon Rich of Ottertail County Central. In his third match (round of 8) he lost to Maximus Hanson of Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 9-1.

Celebrating National Signing Day with Justin Littlewolf who has signed a Letter of Intent to play Football at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Congratulations Justin and Go Dragons!
Congratulations to the Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds on their performances over this past weekend.
Friday:
The Thunderbirds won a nail biter over Barnesville 43-42, and then put in a good performance with Alexandria but came up short losing 54-22.
Saturday:
Blake McMullen placed 7th at the 9th Grade and under State Tournament in Champlin Park.
In Larimore, Will Olson won his third tournament of the year. Trevor and Dominick Neisen both placed second. Tatum Bement, Carter Bendickson and Blake Geray were all 5th.
In the second gym, Manny Johnson placed second, Malachi Brower and Thomas Azure placed third.
