Reminder that attendance at MSHSL activities is reduced due to COVID-19. Events are not open to the public. KRJM radio, Waubun, and Mahnomen schools are partnering to live stream the activities to support the Thunderbirds this evening!
As previously noted, each Thunderbird football player was allowed 3 invites and each cheerleader was allowed 2 invites and names needed to be submitted to their coach/advisor yesterday. Coaches recieved 1 pass each. Employees hired to work at the game such as workers to run the clock, chain gang, announcer, supervision, gate workers, etc will be on the list. ONLY THOSE ON THE INVITE LIST WILL BE ALLOWED IN. No exceptions.
Gates open at 3:40pm with the JV game will beginning at 4:00. Once you are in the complex, we ask that you not leave. Restrooms will be limited. Concessions are not allowed. Those in attendance will be required to practice social distancing and wear a mask.

Thunderbird Fans, you may have seen some new guidelines that have come out regarding athletic events. However, please note that the Clearbrook School District has notified us that they are NOT allowing spectators to enter for tonight's volleyball game.

Here is the schedule for volleyball practice this fall. Please note, this is voluntary practice, the actual "regular" season will not be until March this year. At this time, there will not be busing available.
Jr. High practice:
M-T-W-Th: September 14 through October 1, 2020
3:30 to 5:00 pm
Waubun students will stay and have practice in Waubun
Mahnomen students will stay and have practice in Mahnomen
9th – 12th grade:
M-T-W-Th: September 14 through October 1, 2020
4:00 to 5:30 pm
Mon and Thurs in Mahnomen
Tues and Wed in Waubun
A message from Coach Clark to High School Football Players & Parents:
There will not be any busing for practices. You are on your own to get to practice. We are able to have 12 practices (passing out pads and team meeting the first day does not count as a practice). If you really want to play football but absolutely cannot find a ride, contact coach Clark at jclark@mahnomen.k12.mn.us
Practices will start at 3:40 or as soon as "in school" learners can get here. All practices for fall session will be in Mahnomen.
WEEK 1 -- September 14th
*Monday, September 14th - pass out pads - team meeting - speed and strength
*Tuesday - Friday practice 3:40- 6:15
WEEK 2 -- September 21
*Practice Monday - Thursday -- No practice Friday
WEEK 3 -- September 28
*No practice Monday, Practice Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Friday will be a scrimmage under the lights on the football field. 6:00 pm.
