American Indian Education Program

Indian Education

Boozhoo & Welcome!

The mission of the Mahnomen Public Schools is to provide opportunity for high achievement for all learners promoting academics, citizenship, and individual self-esteem, with an emphasis on 21st century skills.

As a program under the mission of ISD #432 the Indian Education program will be responsible for organizing projects to directly impact its participants. It will creatively meet the diverse needs and interests of the district’s native youth and families by providing engaging programs, services, and enrichment opportunities to students of all ages and their families, educational backgrounds, and socioeconomic levels, in a safe and positive environment.

The purpose of this project is to assist in the overall mission of ISD# 432.

Our mission is to improve Native Student achievement and graduation rates through academically rigorous culturally responsive instruction, family and student engagement and collaborative partnerships with schools and community.

Our vision is that all American Indian students are inspired and empowered as lifelong learners to become fully engaged leaders, stewards and citizens.

The goals of this program are to provide all participants with safe and positive opportunities to enrich their academic and cultural journeys while instilling a passion for discovery, wellness, and overall success.
