Mahnomen has canceled after school activities. This includes Thunderbird activities.
Basketball DH scheduled for today in Mahnomen vs. Sacred Heart has been postponed until further notice.

COVID mitigation strategies are changing at Mahnomen Public Schools.
*Please conduct a wellness check of your children every day before sending them to school.
*Please keep ill children home. If they are symptomatic please have them tested for COVID. The School has tests available to take home.
*Federal transportation rules require masks to be worn on buses.
*Masks are recommended to be worn while in-doors at school, especially for those individuals that are not fully vaccinated or may be at a higher risk.
*Positive cases will follow CDC isolation procedures. After 5-days of at-home isolation, non-symptomatic students can return to school but are required to wear a mask for the next 5-days otherwise they will be out for the full 10-days.
*In-household close contact students that test negative and are non-symptomatic can return to school after 5-days of at-home quarantine but are required to wear a mask for the next 5-days otherwise they will be out for the full 10-days.
*Non-household close contacts may attend school as long as they are not symptomatic. They should get tested regularly and wear a mask for 10-days.
*Frequent hand washing is encouraged.
These strategies may change again depending on local COVID conditions such as case rates, transmission factors, and vaccination rates. Please remain flexible and prepared for changes in mitigation measures.
