Pre-registration is required. Our Thunderbird Athletic Program is seeking the following coaching positions for the upcoming 2023-2024 season(s): Varsity Assistant Volleyball Coach, Junior High Volleyball Coach, Junior High Girls Basketball Coach and sport event workers. Practice start dates are varied based on the season. The Varsity VB season begins August 14th, JH VB begins August 21st. Candidates should have previous experience in the sport they are interested in coaching and coaching experience is preferred. This position is responsible for ensuring the Minnesota State High School League Rules and Guidelines are met, in addition to the Thunderbird Athletic Handbook, and Thunderbird Coaches Handbook. Applicants must have quality communication skills, solid background, knowledge in the sport, and the ability to lead. Coaching is a great opportunity to develop young athletes for the next generation and to instill values through athletics. All coaches will work under the guidance of our cooperative Athletic Directors. Congratulations to Cady Clark for placing 3rd overall at the Section 8A Golf Meet in Bemidji. Cady advances to the State 'A' golf meet in Becker, MN June 13-14. Great job Cady!

Today we honor the Mahnomen High School Class of 2023 with the Commencement Ceremony beginning at 2:00 pm in the high school gymnasium!

Congratulations to the Thunderbird softball team on two huge wins tonight! They advance to play the East Polk North Stars at Greenbush on 5/30/23 at 4:00pm! Congratulations to the Track & Field Athletes advancing from the SubSection 8A West meet hosted in Mahnomen today, to the Section Meet in Roseau next week! Go Thunderbirds!

Thunderbird Track & Field teams compete in the SubSection 8A West Meet tomorrow, Thursday May 25th in Mahnomen! Field events begin at 2:00, running events at 3:00. Gate admission is $5 students and $8 adults. MSHSL passes will be honored. Go Thunderbirds!

Thunderbird softball continues to compete in the next round of Section 8A softball tournament play! They will play Fertile - Beltrami tomorrow, Thursday May 25th in Red Lake Falls at 4:00!

Congratulations to the Cady Clark, placing 2nd overall at the SubSection 8A Golf meet today! And to the Thunderbird girls golf team for advancing to the Section meet next week in Bemidji! Go Thunderbirds!

Congratulations to Blake McMullen, Brody Schlick and Carter Clark for qualifying for the Section 8A golf tournament next week at Bemidji. They played at the Sub-Section tournament at Headwaters in Park Rapids today. Blake tied for 5th with an 80. Good Luck at Sections, boys!!
